Also could you determine the mass of your finger as well as the mass of the bee? You could calculate the force required to flick the bee 7 feet. Then you could back calculate the speed at which your finger was moving to impart that much force. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

If you REALLY need to know, my R&D dept has a system that uses a camera over 1000 frames per second and a frame by frame analysis and markup tool.

It's in use by White Sands for analyzing missle launches and failures, so it is probably good enough to measure how fast your finger velocity bee /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif (Road trip? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif "Um, yes, we are here to...um...inspect...your missle test range equipment...yeah, that's it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif )

Of course, to be totally accurate, we have to use the same bee. You did mark him with a drop of paint, didn't you? /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif
