I tipped my mini excavator

If not prepared to deal with the aftermath, it's highly recommended not to put vehicles or machinery on their side, or roll them over.

My biggest fear is putting the M6040 on its side. Not because I don't have the equipment to get it back upright, but because unlike the 16,000 lb. backhoes, there are no good lift points on that one. About the only drawback with having a cab, I think.

The concern for most is that, if they manage to tip their only or largest tractor, they're stuck using a pickup truck to get it back on its wheels. Either that, or calling the closest farmer with some machinery, which might be a bit of a drive across town, for many.

I have one older neighbor with a Deere 950, but he hasn't run it in several years. All my other neighbors have machines substantially smaller, the closest being one very old 9N.

I'd honestly probably resort to a come-along to the nearest tree, in my case. We have a crap-ton of trees, in fact it's likely one might have been the cause of me tipping the damn thing, in the first place.

It might take a day or so to clear the smoke or burn any tailings from inside the muffler. If a larger dose of the oil did get into the cylinder, I would suspect the cylinder over pressurized and the high compression has cracked the piston, especially if you used ether to restart the engine.
