Hello This is my first post and I would like to say hello to all of you.
I want to build a hydraulics mower/brush cutter that will run from auxiliary hydraulics between 10 and 20 GPM,I have been looking in all the wrong places and after reading lots of postings here, I think I will find my answer.
Almost forgot, This will be for a Bobcat/skidsteer
Thanks for your time

What's the question???

You'll find many experts, general tinkerers and just good ole boys here.

That seems pretty weak. Only 3/4" brush capacity? I could swear I've seen forestry mowers like that capable of grinding trees and stumps even below grade. I would look for a much more capable model or just find a hydraulic rotary cutter. Your typical brush hog will tear up anything smaller than your forearm without excessive strain.

I agree but I'm not sure what's rated for that Bobcat pump and so on. I was just thinking somehting along that line.

I've seen huge flail mowers on a Cat or JD front loader. IE the ones that bend in the middle, 4wd, and 5' tires.

Ok here is another...

Looks Fun
This one is mean looking

Now we're talking. Kind of like a tiller geared up.

The skid steers usually have very high hydraulic flow rates since all 70-120 HP is running a hydro pump and not a transmission. Before I bought my tractor and hog, I thought about buying or renting a forestry mower. They are only needed for initial clearing though and the tractor was more long term.
