As you can see in the pics it has a simple chute to direct snow left or right, a hand operated lever lets you switch directions from the seat. The problem is I get a lot of blowback hitting me and the tractor. This makes it hard to see backing up and is pretty uncomfortable. I wear my snowmobile riding gear just to be able to stand it... and this is how I look afterwards. Snow also gets all over the controls and just is generally a pain.

I want to have something to deflect the snow away from me and the tractor. So far my best idea was to attach a piece of canvas or something that covered the gap on the chute on the tractor side. If it attaches to the chute, it will have to be flexible or somehow allow for the chute to flip left/right. Anyone have a better idea?

Thats pretty funny.
Seriously though, what about lexan fastened to the rops if you have.

No ROPS right now, although I may upgrade tractors in the near future.

My concern there would be snow building up on the lexan again reducing my vision. Also it might block my ability to reach back and grab the handle...

What about a piece of lexan right next to the chute?

I cured my problem with snow several years ago. Moved further south. It's amazing how quickly you forget the hassle of cold and snow.

I would think some kind of cab would be the best option

Can you add to the sides of the discharge chute in addition to extending it also?

quite an interesting blower!
from the picture, you have the choice of discharging either right, or left,
but flopping the chute from one side to the other....
maybe you can add a flapper to the ends of the chute to bring that
discharge down instead of having it always blowing up so high into the air??

That might help too, if the wind is calm it isn't usually too bad but that that never happens.

I know this isn't what you are asking but - - - You do know that your blower can easily be changed to a pull behind style. That moves the discharge shoot several feet farther back and since you are driving forward you stay out of most of the blowing snow. Also you have more choices of speeds going forward.
To change to a pull style the two bolts near where the hitch pipe goes inside the pipe on the blower come off the hitch gets moved to the intake side and rebooted. The dive shaft gets moved the the intake side and reattached. If you look at your machine I think you can understand what I am saying.
I hope this helps
