I know this isn't what you are asking but - - - You do know that your blower can easily be changed to a pull behind style. That moves the discharge shoot several feet farther back and since you are driving forward you stay out of most of the blowing snow. Also you have more choices of speeds going forward.
To change to a pull style the two bolts near where the hitch pipe goes inside the pipe on the blower come off the hitch gets moved to the intake side and rebooted. The dive shaft gets moved the the intake side and reattached. If you look at your machine I think you can understand what I am saying.
I hope this helps

I do know that and I broke 2 pullers and went through a propane bottle trying to get the PTO yoke to come off that end so I could do exactly that last year before giving up on it.

The only way to solve your dilema is to either take the snowcaster
to the welding shop and lengthen the chute on both ends and add
material to the sides or have them make a newchute for you that
you can extend manually by unpinning it and repinning it to add
length to the chute to eliminate the splatter.

It would be faster for you to take it to the welding shop and let them
measure the chute and remove the old one to make the new one and
put it on the snow caster.

Everyone is right -- either extend the chute or add a flap so deflect snow more horizontally to ground, not straight up. You really need to work with the wind, not blowing into the wind too. It shouldnt be too hard to add a flap to deflect snow more towards ground so it doesnt go too far up in the air. Just stop in a local store that sells walk behinds and study the top adjustable chute. You dont need to make it cable operated, but just clamp it it with knobs.

A place to start....
Mount brackets on the back side of the arms where the 3pt attaches.... Gets it back far enough to block snow, look over...
Put a triangle shaped enclosure on the sides of the discharge chute for a little more guidance to the snow up and away...

Post pictures of solution.... Good luck....

Something else to think about. If you couldn't get the yoke off the blower shaft when you worked on it THEN if you get something solid in the blower and the bolt ( shear bolt ) on the blower side of the yoke won't break and the yoke won't spin on the shaft and something is going to break or bend badly. It might be worth trying to loosen it again over the summer and soaking it with penetrating oil and a hotter torch.
I have the same blower that I pull with a Ford 860 and know it can do a good job.

remove the teeter totter straight chute... fab up a V instead, to direct the snow further backwards and away from you

I had a blowback problem with an older Eska walk behind 2-stage snowthrower because the chute was so short, so I purchased a thin rubber truck mudflap from Quality Farm & Fleet and used it to extend the discharge chute. Wasn't pretty, but it was cheap and it worked. Sorry, but no pics...I sold it a long time ago.
