Whoa cool. I think its time for a new topographic trail map!

Why do you box blade all the roots and vegetation away when you are going straight up the slope? Obviously in a bench cut you need to shape the terrain. But I can't see why you would scrape everything away just to go straight. All you're doing is setting up for faster erosion, no?

Here are the current trails.

Simply...so I can walk through it with ease, no stickers or ticks to worry about. The knobs of KY are what's left of an eroded ocean floor from long, long ago. The fossilized crinoid riddled layer is like cement the clay layers below that are now hard shale. The dolomite covers the very top and will remain undisturbed for now. My point is erosion beyond slow and is not much of an issue. Old trails have yet to show any significant signs of erosion probably because most are on a ridge and can not collect enough water to create a sustained flow. Now the latest trail to the top....I need to cut down significantly to reduce the angle...I hope for some erosion to help rut it in to give me better traction. The part I struggle with is between 35-45. If I can get it all down to 35 I'll be happy. Screenshot_20200504-125640_Earth.jpeg

Thanks for the update. Was wondering what was happening on the mountain.

At what angle will these roll over? I am so high in the seated position that it feels it will roll over easy on a hilly yard.

Put the loader bucket high enough,, and also have an off center load,, tweak the steering wheel just right,,,
and, it will flip over on flat ground,,,

Once trail building gets in your blood, there's no cure.

I don't wanna find out. I never drive sideways across a slope always directly facing hillside.

Tip, do you have anything fast to ride (dirt bike, ATV, SxS, etc)? If so, please mount a GoPro or other camera and take a rip up and over the mountain. Would be really cool to better visualize your trail network and the severity of the hill slopes!
