We have 4 1000 litre IBC's which contained diallyl dimethyl ammonium, plan on cutting them in half and using as self wicking garden beds but they need to be cleaned out.
Have googled this chemical and cannot find much about it but it appears to be water soluble according to some but can be harmful or harmless (?).
Question is not knowing a lot about chemicals apart from a few common garden variety types, is there something that can effectively clean out these containers in one go, I plan on putting in about 100 litres of water and rolling them around with the tractor forks then draining them out.
Any help would be appreciated.

It's a quaternary ammonium salt - disinfectant. Water soluble. Use lots of water and clean them out somewhere that you aren't concerned about killing vegetation, in case it does. I have no idea what effect it would have on vegetation. Use soap and water if you want it cleaner, and then lots of rinsing.

I wouldnt rely on a single rinse of only 100L water to clean dirty tanks. I also wouldnt use them for growing food after. MSDS says clean up spills using an absorbent and dispose of as hazardous waste. And 50% of the rats didnt die after being force fed 125mg per day so obviously its safe to use with appropriate PPE.

Thanks all, may have to rethink garden beds, paid $50 each and that is probably why, can buy ex food safe but they are a lot more, these may now become something else

Yeah for food use, i would probably stick with food safe ones. It will be impossible to remove all traces of the disinfectant. I have seen that before too. Food safe totes are more expensive than non-food ones.
