Ice Rink Maintenance Crew Photo

Last year someone asked for a photo of an action shot of the Zamboni. I was out there by myself so this will have to do! With all this cold weather we have had this year these two toys have been busy!/w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif I was out flooding the rink last night at 12:00 am, temp a brisk -7! talk about cold!!...But the kids are having a ball, and thats what really matters!

To expand on Bill's question, how does a Zamboni dress, if that is the right term, ice? Hey, I'm in Georgia, we don't see many ice rinks./w3tcompact/icons/smile.gif

Bill, The Zamboni is 4WD and has studded tires! And the tractor has no problems with traction with the turf tires, They are better than R1's on ice.....Mark, As for how it makes ice, the conditioner (the thing that hangs down on the back) has a very sharp blade that shaves the ice and then leaves water down behind to replace what ice it removes. Von.........I'm very jealous..........How do you rate having your own zamboni ????........My wife is usually really tolerant of alot of things I come home with from auctions etc. but I think a zamboni might push her over the edge..............Tom

Nice setup Von! Get a popcorn machine maybe a few hotdogs and invite the Sabres down for a vist. Bet you could get a few TBN'ers in town for an event like that. Take care
