I'd Like To See Them Make...

A toolbox that would hold all my stuff attached to my Kubota.

Diesel fuel that didn't stink like diesel. Or at least something that would get the stink off your hands. Darn diesel smell is ruining my love life.

Re: I\'d Like To See Them Make...

JN4310, thats great I've been trying to figure the best way to do that but I want to mount it off the left front wheel so it will have some move ment to cut around and under fencing. I figured I'd have to use a weed eater on shortend shaft and just mount it on a bracket to the wheel and run the throttle up to the driver seat.

By the way if you could attach that with the deck still on and sell the idea to deer I bet you could make a killing...

Does it work as great as it looks?

It works really, really well. It cuts great at a little more than half throttle. Sometimes I try to steer really precisely around fence posts, and sometime I just plow through them and let it swing out of the way. Doesn't seem to make much difference either way. The other great thing about it is really tall heavy grass doesn't wind itself around the hub like it does on all my handheld trimmers. The line (.155 dia) lasts a long time.

The whole unit pivots on a bolt (just visible in this picture on the black base). The top plastic guard rubs against buildings and fence posts and pivots it out of the way. It is spring loaded to return to the extended position. You really don't have to be very precise with the steering. It floats up and down the same way the mower does.

It takes only a minute to switch between the mower deck and the trimmer. It uses the same mounts.

Re: I\'d Like To See Them Make...

JN4310, cool, but would it be difficult to say extend the front of the framee and power it at the same time you do the mower deck, instead of using one or the other?. I noticed you mentioned it runs well at 1/2 throttle. You think even if it was worth mounting to the front, it would be to much on the tractor or the speed/power needed to run the deck would be to much for the weeder attachment?

By the way the bump gaurd on the top is a nice touch...
