This is my first post here and if things go right you'll be seeing a lot of me.

I'm in the market for a small tractor to do some light work around the house and came across this one on craigslist. Tried searching for all the English words "yancheng municipality tractor works 200", which led me to the Jinma-200. This doesn't look like anything that comes up when I search for Jinma-200.

Anyone know?

Welcome aboard.

Not sure what kind of tractor you found there, but my personal opinion would be to find something a little more common. That thing looks very unique. I wouldn't want to try finding parts for that machine.

Once identified you will find that parts are readily available. Many tractors are imported "clean" with no markings or decals (like my dozer) so anyone can put their badge on them. Many entrepreneurs will order a shipping container full of "clean" tractors and sell them off and keep one for themselves for free from the profits. You might want to consider how you can help the OP instead of being negative.

Since you are down in Texas, I would suggest that you contact Tommy at Affordable Tractor (979-865-4002). If you can identify your requirements, etc. I believe that he can start you off in the right direction.

My guess is it's an early version of what was later called Jinma when they started selling them over here. If so then Affordable Tractor can probably support it.

Just because you might find some parts and don't mind the easter egg hunt for them does not mean that's for everyone. The original post gives me the impression that he is new to tractors. He may not be the type to "wrench" himself and there will be no place to simply call for repair or service, that equals a blue lawn ornament with little to no value for resale. There are plenty of old iron American tractors available with service/repair books that are actually written in English and the dealers is just around the corner.
To me, that is "helpful" and he might not be aware of "grey market" equipment and the related problems he could be facing.
