Can you use the star slabs as part of the entrance to the park? Maybe only have to use two or four of them at the entrance. Paint them to make them stand out. If you have some road frontage it would help to have some sort of marker to tell people they are getting close to the entrance. Telling them to look for the stars would be easy to remember.

With only 13 of them, using them for the cabins or RV sites wouldn't work as I'm a stickly for uniformity. I want every site and cabin to be alike, or as similar as possible.
Eddie

Could you make a cast of one of them, for a mold? Since you have 13 already, if you only needed a few more, you could cast more as needed?

Eddie, your plan for benches from cedar logs is a winner... they will NEVER rot... suggest you cut those now, strip the bark off, let them start weathering and getting the sap solid... don't want sticky pants when you sit down!!!

I think I'd maybe just use them to mark special locations throughout the RV park. Kinda like your parks "star attractions." You might even number each star for additional identification. Otherwise, you might save them to embed in the slab of a common picnic area in a checkerboard or crisscross pattern. Another thing would be to put them along your front fence, in the ground and paint them appropriately to draw attention.

BTW: They look like the kind of stars I have seen incorporated into retaining walls under highway overpasses throughout the state. Were they extras left over from a similar project?

Eddie,

I was thinking alone the same lines as Jim. But one other thought was to use them as markers for your RV Rows. The RV park we camp at has rows labled as A, B, C, D, etc.You could use these to mark each row or color code the rows by painting the slabs.

I do like the pattern laid in a picnic or courtyard area. Mark locations of trash bins in the park.

Back to the trail / marker idea, have you thought about that "geocaching" (i think that is what it is called) game / sport, and those could be the targets, you could use them as parts of scavenger hunts etc.

That said, I would probably go with something along the lines of what David said above, aisle markers, lane markers or something along that line.

I would be tempted to make up a form as Moss said, with a mold in the bottom, so I could duplicate more as needed with left over crete from all the projects you are doing.

Hey Eddie,
I am always amazed at the way your threads keep myself and so many others so interested. I guess you have a good way of detailing and more importantly taking pictures of your projects.

Anyway while doing a rather boring job at work this thread jumped into my head and I wondered what you did with these. So what is the latest?

Thanks Scott. I had to go back to the first post to see what it was that I had found. LOL I used one for a platform for my parents RV, and stacked the rest off to the side. The more I looked at them, the less inclined I was to use them for anything. I still might, but for now, they are just used as a table to put things on. I have my pallet forks and a water trough on them right now. The good thing is that they wont rot or go bad on me. The bad thing is that they are heavy and awkward to do anything with.
