ideas rough cut versus finish cut

what gear do you use for cutting, once I have it down a bit what can I expect

I run 2nd gear, high range at pto rpms. My owners manual says thats about 4.5 mph. Doesn't seem fast, I ran it 3rd high for a while but it was bumpy, my yard is a little rough. I'll get a better cut going a little slower.

Bushogging I run 3rd high. at or near pto rpms.

my CK20 was running on shorter stuff in 3rd low range, it seemed slow but high range sees too fast
