Ideas to protect the hydraulic filter?

We run Zooks Welding filter guards on the L and MX units, top notch design and very heavy duty
Here's a pic of the Zooks guards:

The problem I have is that my L4330 has those torque bars (?) that go from the torque tubes to the rear axle, see pic below:

I think I would look at cutting a piece of steel plate and u-bolt it to the bottom of your bars. Without being able to look at the tractor you could notch out the plate and cover a good bit of things that could be damaged. A skid plate that could be dropped down easily

Good idea on the U-Bolt! One thing that has been holding me up on fixing mine is that I really really don't want to drill through that 1/2" steel bar. The biggest fear is weakening it for FEL operation; the 2nd is that drilling sideways is a huge PITA.

M59 loader control valve and lines in similar place. Factory has a sheetmetal cover that helps some but had damage with the type of work I do.
Combined building a bolt-on chainsaw and tool holder with skid plate and armor to protect the hydraulics. The filters are located differently and could use some armor too.

Tractors aren’t forestry machines but shouldn’t be so easy to damage from going into the woods or handling brush.

I decided to upgrade tractors and bought a MX5400 which has more protection for the axles, hydraulic lines and filters. I didn't buy it for just that but for the ability to go out in the woods without too much worry of damaging parts of the tractor.
This is The Way.

Why spend $200-$300 when you can spend $30K-$40K to solve the problem!

Way Mo Bettah!!!!!!
