My tractor is just a open ROPS tractor and exposed to sun and rain all the time. The heavy vinyl seat cover started to crack from the sun.
It is no real problem, but after a rain the foam inside is real wet and I get real wet. I want to just go but some vinyl and cover it. But I am not sure where to get vinyl that is tough enough for the outdoors.

Any ideas on how to fix that seat?

Thanks,
Charlie

E-Bay has seat covers. Just do a search and see what comes up. Not seeing your seat...it's hard to tell what your needs are. You'll have plenty of choices on E-Bay.

Tractor supply sells reasonably priced replacement seats.

EZLivn, how come I haven't seen any pictures of your awesome inflatable posted here?

A cheap alternative would be to cover it with a large trash bag when your not using it. At least it would keep it dry.

I bought a Kubota that had been sitting outside all its life and the seat was in terrible shape. My wife surprised me with a seat cover that had built in storage pockets and looked like it was expensive. Turns out it was from a Lillian Vernon catalog for $19.95. I've had it now for a year and a half, mostly sitting outside. It's faded a little but still holding together.

Try a fabric store for vinyl. I re-did the seats on my Belarus with some of that and they are holding up fine. Wal-mart here has a fabric section but their vinyl was much thinner than at the real fabric store and the price was about the same.

I have also picked up molded seat covers with foam at Northern Tool for less than $10. Sometimes they will have a bin of assorted seat covers like that. They look like new surplus goods.

Unless you are just estatically happy with that seat, I would invest $100 and get one that has spring suspension and armrest. TSC has them as well as several online places. I bought one for my old yanmar even though my seat was in great shape, it had no suspension and really pounded the kidneys. The new seat required some modification to the original mounting points, but nothing major. I got a little more leg room in the deal also after the modification.
