Ideas to Tractor Seat Repair

E-Bay has a replacement seat for my 790 with a taller back for $169 and free shipping. I've had my finger on the trigger a few times now but can't bring myself to do it. I could use that $169 towards a different new toy for it.

My Yanmar seat was ripped in places. I cut patches out of scrap m'sickle vinyl, rounded the edges, and glued it on with Seal All. Been that way for a few years. It doesn't even look bad, however, this is a "form follows function machine."

Walmart and other stores sell a vinyl repair kit..you can mix the colors to match your seat if it is not black but otherwise it is an easy process I have used several times on different things. It will work just fine on tears or rips as long as you are not missing a big chunk of vinyl...not very expensive..under $10.00 as I recall.

An awning shop will have heavy duty exterior quality vinyl. Glue too.
