identifing massey ferguson tractor

Good Day
I just purchased a massey ferguson industrial tractor. My question is, how do i identify model ? It has a 4 cyl perkins diesel, cab, and told hydro drive or shuttle shift? no clutch. I want to service but dont know what to tell dealer as far as model goes. It has rear hook up for a back ho but not with tractor. Two shifters with high and low ranges, no glow plugs. Has a tag with serial numbers in cab but not a model number. Was told it was a model 40? but this sales man knew less than i about tractor. Any help or leads for engine or tractor servicing would be very helpful. Thanks for your time.

Sounds like an MF40..... Pass along a serial #. That'll help somewhat. It won't be a hydro, but probably is shuttle shift. Serial # tag should have model designation on it. If it is in fact a 40, same Perkins engine as a MF165 (ag tractor)

P.S. Have had Ford 8 ns forever, loader with front pump, never gave me trouble. But Massey was too good of a deal to let slide by.
