You can get those quick disconnect trickle chargers like are used on motorcycles--with a trailer type plug in that stays attached to battery and a charger box that plugs into 110V. Probably about 50.00.
That would keep battery warm.
Also have seen electric battery blankets I think in JC Whittney hope this helps

If you want the battery to last as long as it can, I'd take it out and at least charge it once a month. I do this with my boat batteries for six months of the year. Every two weeks, I put the batteries on a 2 amp charge. I've had very good luck with the batteries lasting a long time.

Im curious as to why you'd feel the need take battery out to charge it ??

I would take the battery out and store in a warm place.
Before you take the battery out run some diesel fuel conditioner thru the system.
Lock the clutch pedal down.
DO NOT store it with the parking on.

I have no electric close to where the boat is to plug in a charger. Taking the battery out just makes it easier.
If vaughn has his tractor parked where he has electric or maybe he has a solar charger, then no need to remove it. Some may bring up the temperature issue that it's better to keep the battery indoors. As long as it's kept charged, the cold shouldn't hurt it. Maybe someone with battery knowledge can shed some light.

Yes, fully charged batteries shouldn't have a problem, but fully is the operable word. I always prefer disconnecting, but not removing the batter when charging as I don't take chances with my alternator. If you have no electric nearby, then solar trickle charging may be sufficient.
