...I could get out on the new 4120! Man this is driving me nuts!...LOL It's got 2.3 hours on it, and 2.1 of that was on it when we bought it. I'm ready to get out back in the field. I can think of several loader tasks already /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

I feel your pain! We had one "dusting" of snow so far this season. Rain and more rain it seems like....thank God not the mess they are having out west however!

Same on this side of the state. I don't need a snow blade on the tractor, I need a squeege. /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif Can't do a darn thing. Just bringing firewood to the house is leaving ruts in the yard.

Brian has probably heard this from me, but where I live, we have had some sort of precipitation every single day since December 22nd! Other than having a really wet yard, I've not been effected. However, the rivers in my area are at 70 to 100 year highs and there are hundreds of people watching their houses float away! /forums/images/graemlins/shocked.gif

I feel rather petty by complaining about my yard being wet and spongy when people a few miles from me are having their houses float away. ** Newsflash** While I was typing this the radio just announced that a railroad bridge over the Wabash River has just collapsed and has become a fish habitat. I guess this flooding is getting pretty bad! In the next county north of me where I bought some property a few months ago, (which includes the highest point in that county) I have had two people call me to ask if they could park their mobile homes there until the water receeds from where they were parked. I hate to say "no", but I don't want to open myself up to problems. Any thoughts? I wonder if I "unofficially" don't object, but don't give permission, if I'll be okay? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

You could have them sign a 30 day lease for $1 using a standard lease form that relieves you of liability. It would also give you a way to get them out if they decided to abuse your generosity.

In an emergency situation like you have in that part of the country a local real estate agent might be willing to give you copy of the lease form they use. Call the agent who you used when you bought the property.

Thanks, that's a good idea. I don't mind helping out, but as you interpreted, I don't want to have trouble for helping. It would be a real problem if they decided to stay on the higher ground. I don't want to have a big hassle to get them to move back when the water goes back down.

We have had our place for over 10 years and this is probably the second wettest period that I can recall and perhaps the wettest winter.

I think we have had rain every day since about Christmas.

We have had 2 mudslides on our place....one going out about 20 feet into one of our arenas and the other blocking off our road from the barn to that arena.

Actually we have had a bunch of trees come down with the ground being as wet as it is and the wind.

We finally have blue sky today. Hurrah!!!! /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Mark, you have to be enjoying that sun today. It is a bit cold though at 52 degress. I have lived here for well, my whole life and while not the wettest, the length of time since we had nice sun was longer then I care for, but what are you going to do? I was talking to folks who used to live in Oregon and Washington and they said this was the very reason they left. I'm begining to understand that.

Well I've been waiting for a month to clear a small area to relocate my wood shed to, it's just been to wet and I don't want to tear up the vegitation in front of the new location, it's not grass but it's not a mud hole either. Just gonna have to wait for a week of sun...about june or july /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Dargo- do a google search on "hold harmless agreement", lots of examples to tailor to your needs. We operate a horse rescue and when prospective adoptees show up, that is the first order of business. Even if there is no riding involved, the agreement is signed acknowledging risks associated with livestock. I've been nipped more than once in my life.

Today our highs were near 50. The lows are in the mid 40's. Tomorrow it will get near 50 again, but later in the day PLUMMET to around 14 with strong winds. We are suppose to get heavy rain later tonight into tomorrow. Snow is possible too. It's gonna be a wild weather ride the next day or so. I'm sorry, but I don't have any sympathy for you. /forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
