There was a model line of laptops that were made by Toshiba. They were called "Satellites".. These would routinely be returned to us, because the buyer could not get on the internet. We always configured these for both Ethernet and WiFi, and knew they worked. Yet, we kept getting these returns. A bit confused, i started asking people about their Internet Provider and what sort of wireless network they had at home. And they all said they didn't need any of that, cause the computer clearly would get its internet free from "Satellites," since it was a Satellite laptop. And that some times it would work, if they were in town, and sometimes it wouldn't when they got home.
I don't think i ever got though the idea that they were connected to a public Wifi in town. And not through a satellite. Crazy... just sort of stays crazy...
