If there are aliens, what will they look like?

It has been rumored that this ‘tractor’ beam could be amplified by big base audio amplifiers, aimed at the evening full moon and (possibly) alter its current orbit around earth.

As interesting as this conversation is, it’s important to keep the temperature down as we are all still friends.
I was told in HS and at uni (if still accurate) that our Moon's orbit is decaying by roughly 1 foot per 100 years. At some point our descendants may want to 'keep' it where it is ... or not.

Suppose they can harness fusion reaction, perhaps an avenue to longevity without depleting our legacy energy resources and threatening Earth's environment. I wonder if a tractor beam might be scaled up and powerful enough to deflect as much as attract a comet, asteroid, etc that may threaten this Eden we hope will be everlasting.

In our lifetimes we'll never know how much we don't know ... yet. 👽

Fun experiment with your car. Same works with cornering.

When it's -40f outside, and the heat is on high inside, I can feel the cold air/hot air sloshing around due to accelerating around corners or from change in speed.

Yeah. Stand right over there. Hold still. Here's what happens to you when earth's gravity lets go of the moon.
Sorry, not buying into your belief system. You repeat what you have been force fed at an early age without any evidence what so ever.

Abra-Cadabra! Gravity is all knowing!

I'm wanting to float in a balloon a few feet off the ground and watch the earth rotate beneath me and travel to a distant country. Abra-Cadabra!

... it's not a "belief system" it's an accepted scientific view, tested and questioned by numerous people over many many years who actually listened and understood while they got their education. At some point little caveats will be sorted out, but all in all, there's observation of an effect, and experiments conducted to tease out the finer details.

There is of course some science which has been stretched or just being parroted incorrectly by people who don't know any better - even if they managed to get their degree, little different to your situation.

. Knowing that a good set of tires were good for about .5-.8 g even on wet roads, I attempted to calm her by saying "When you feel about half your weight pined against the side door, That's when we need to start worrying about our cornering speed" . Needless to say, she was not thrilled with the metric.
Way back when,, I had a professor that taught a class called "Vehicular Safety",
and it was a junior level Engineering elective, that was designed to be an "easy A grade".

As an Engineering elective, many were required to take such a class,
this professor decided to use the class to create safer drivers. He taught things that could save you in an automobile.
He designed the class to be an easy A to attract the most students, and create safer drivers.
ALL the football players were ALWAYS in this class,,

Well one of the things he taught,, was the speed at which an auto will hydroplane.

NASA did extensive research into this,, and found a simple calculation would determine the speed to hydroplane.

I could type for a day, telling all the professor showed us to prove his point, but, it boils down to this.

"A car will hydroplane at ten times the square root of the tire pressure."

Yea, it will be plus, or minus a little,, but, it will be close.

So, if you have 25psi in your tires, expect to hydroplane at 50MPH
At 36psi, expect to hydroplane at 60MPH
If you want to drive 70MPH,, on rain slicked roads,, you better pump up your tires to 49psi..

Most airplanes have crazy high tire pressures,, not to hold up the plane,,
the tire pressure is high, so that the plane will not hydroplane when landing in the rain storm.

Sure, YOU got away driving at a high speed, at lower tire pressure,,
BUT,, that will not always be the case,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

If you blindly accept something that you can't verify or see then it's a belief system.
Can you prove the world is a rotating sphere or do you accept views from fish-eyed lens and CGI? I see the sun and stars move in the sky yet we are told the earth is rotating at the speed of sound while moving around the sun at enormous speeds yet we don't feel anything. If the earth moves just a little you get deadly earthquakes and tsunamis. How does the globe earth rotate? What set it in rotation? Planes don't have to constantly correct altitude for the supposed curvature of the earth.
Beam me up Scotty!

You certainly didn't understand much while you were in those classes nor much of the average subjects that pop up in life.

So for starters you are basically saying you don't understand inertia or relative velocity.

I'm almost too scared to ask if you in fact are a flat earther. That would actually explain a great deal.

I was able to understand it when I was 7 years old...

sound like its the case ... regardless not worth the time and effort...
