I was told in HS and at uni (if still accurate) that our Moon's orbit is decaying by roughly 1 foot per 100 years. At some point our descendants may want to 'keep' it where it is ... or not.It has been rumored that this ‘tractor’ beam could be amplified by big base audio amplifiers, aimed at the evening full moon and (possibly) alter its current orbit around earth.
As interesting as this conversation is, it’s important to keep the temperature down as we are all still friends.
Suppose they can harness fusion reaction, perhaps an avenue to longevity without depleting our legacy energy resources and threatening Earth's environment. I wonder if a tractor beam might be scaled up and powerful enough to deflect as much as attract a comet, asteroid, etc that may threaten this Eden we hope will be everlasting.
In our lifetimes we'll never know how much we don't know ... yet.
