I have always thought how bizzarre it is that every part of your body gets replaced something like every twelve years. Great, But why not replace it with NEW? Its like putting a similarly worn power steering pump in your truck.

I owned some of the first personal computers in the 70s, but I gotta tell ya, I feel just about ready to split this circus on account of all its dysfunctional technology and stupidity.

Consider the fact if you could live forever it would most likely be in near peak health and physical condition, kind of like what we were in our twenties, (but with a bit more experience and wisdom I hope).
I would expect a few changes in how we live our lives, instead of working for thirty or forty years and then retirement you might work that long then take an extended time not working, perhaps going back to college or technical school and learning a new trade or profession. Then after a few years off having fun, go back to work for another thirty or forty years.
One thing you can count on is not having social security or pensions that last for the rest of your life, but after a few hundred years with wise investment and money management you could put yourself into a position to never have to do anything you don't want to do.
Population control may become a necessity to prevent some really extreme overpopulation.

Actually, I recall an old TV show about such a thing. It may have been a 1960's Twilight Zone about a fellow who had wanted to live forever, maybe traded his soul for the wish and wound up begging to get out of the contract. He was outliving everyone and everything and got no peace from the lack of finality.

I rather doubt that. World wars and civil wars would take care of overpopulation. With the weaponry of today and just a little more turmoil in our world, it wouldn't take much.

mid 20's would be nice, but now? when ya got parts of your body that you didn't know could droup, and when someone says you stain your birches, you really do stain them. when you gotta eat all the good stuff, no more goodies. who wants to stay old forever?

now if you they cured aging, and you could get younger... and stay around a certain age. count me in!

well take that back. how many side effects there are with the drugs. ya may come out a on the silly side, and imprisoned for life.
