You have been here 2 days and put up 2 posts and you're complaining about your machine..Hmmmmm.

I see this type of comment on this and other forums and I don't get it. Many people, including myself, have viewed forums or sites for months or longer before signing up or posting. Is the OP comment any less valid because he is new or because he is not a Epic Contributor with 20,000 plus posts? Curious to know if you posted right away 20.745 posts ago or waited the appropriate amount of months (whatever that is).

He isn't bashing on anyone or doing anything out of line. Perhaps you are a a bit sensative because he isn't happy with his Kioti dealer?

We moved down from AK in 1982. Based upon the recommendation of my neighbor I bought a brand new Ford 1700 4WD from a local dealer. In 2009 I had completed all the jobs requiring a 26 hp tractor. I went back to this same dealer. He had changed over from Ford to Kubota. I bought a brand new Kubota M6040 in 2009.

I've been very fortunate. Things have worked out just great.

Hey Murph,

I actually have zero complaints about my machine. Any issues with the machine itself have been my fault, i.e. undersizing, not torquing bolts per manual, etc. All those things were within my control. I do have complaints about my dealer's service department and I wish I had taken that more into account when making my purchase. Again, my fault.

I thought I was pretty self deprecating.

P.S. Now I'm up to 3 posts.

Like they saying goes dealership/service department only as good as there word.

I would have chosen R1's instead R4's and heated cab other than that I am happy.

There are very few tractors which allow access from either side. I believe that it has or had something to do with avoiding stepping on controls, kicking it out of gear and/or releasing the brake. It may even go back farther than that, don稚 you always mount a horse from the left side?
That was actually THE deciding factor in getting my Kioti. Joystick by seat and steps on both sides.

2nd choice was LS, 3rd Massey. Kubota out of the running due solely to dealer.

I would have thought more about ergonomics. I love my Branson 3015R but it annoys me I can't enter the cockpit from either side. The FEL controls make it really hard to enter from the right side. More of an annoyance than a deal breaker. Also, in hindsight HST might have been better for what I do most, again FAR from a deal breaker. Otherwise, I don't think I would change anything.

The fact I can enter the Kioti from either side wasn't a factor in my purchase, but now that I am accustomed to it, I doubt I could ever do without it. On the topic of ergonomics, two pedal HST control was a big factor for me over Kubota's rocker pedal. It was one of the things that pushed me to go with Kioti over Kubota even with the knowledge that the dealer was lesser.

Can't have it all I guess (even though some of you seem to!)

Davrow, do you only have one Kubota dealer in Riverside? Just curious as I know this is a pretty large area and from what I hear it is booming.

I would buy the same tractor (NH TD5030) but with a cab instead of open station.

Thats funny, me n Murph has not seen eye to eye on many things while we both have been TBN Members, but it was the first thing I though on the OPs first posting

I bought my DK 35 from a very small dealership about 90 miles away 18 years ago.
Dealer is no longer in business. Shame to because I really liked my dealer.
He knew the tractors he sold very well, and dealer prep on my machine was top notch.
Tractor has been great.
