My reason is that in my opinion John Deere is the best. All of their equipment is matched to the tractor and the implement. There's no guessing involved. I believe Deere has a superior product, service, sales, and parts. If there is a problem, in my experience, they will go above and beyond to fix that problem. And I believe resale and longevity are much better with Deere as well.

We all know your dislike of JD woodbeef. Why don't we just stick to the topic and not rehash all of this about JD. The guy is trying to buy some equipment not listen to another Jd, kubota, or any other argument. Just state your opinion and move on. If you want to take it up with me again just PM.

Doc,
JD Healthcare is the largest health insurance provider in TN. I wonder if you get any checks from them? If I got some of those JD checks, I'd sure preach the value of Green.

I absolutely hate JD health insurance. If I based my opinion of JD on their health insurance I wouldn't buy anything from them. JD health is also a complete and separate entity from JD production.

And some people find a better value for their buck with another color. He already has his sights on a Mahindra. Maybe he's done his research and found that for HIS money Mahindra fits the bill better. I agree JD is probably the best there is.......but you're gonna pay for it too.
He asked, yes. But he asked about his package including the Mahindra. I think thats what he wants feedback on.......not <font color="green"> BUY GREEN </font> .

Guys,

I will add that the dealer makes a big difference. It use to be that there was not a good JD dealer in my area but very good support for blue tractors and yellow hay tools.

What good is it if you can't get parts and service?

I'll not pm you on this one(I don't believe in them for answering questions on a forum,after it's all about info here,is it not). You brought this out into the open arena,so I'll answer it there. 1st off the original poster is looking for the biggest bang for his buck in an overall outfit,hence Deere is left out. I do also believe you started the Deere part of this thread.

Generally I'm not anti-Deere,just anti-Deeroid!! Deere does make some good tractors and equipment,but not everything they make is the best money can buy just because it is painted green & yellow. I'd love to have a 5620 as a loader tractor,or a shiftless 6420 premium plus. But Deere does not sell them on this side of the pond.

Do you actually think every Deere customer is treated by the company and dealers as you are? If so take a wander around cyber-space a bit and you'll see a much different attitude by many Deere or former Deere customers. Yes,you can say these complaints are all fake,and made up by Deere haters. Sure some are, and you can usually pick them out pretty easily,but then again so are some of the posts that praise Deere way too much.

Yes you can get the 6420 with the IVT transmission. It doesn't get any better than that. YOu can get it in the automatic, the full synchro 16 speed, whatever you want. The 6415 you can't get with IVT.
