Rick, what is with the ROPS bolted to the fenders? In the pic's the metal looks somewhat sturdy, but in a big rollover I have to wonder. Also I see they went back to the full length fold rather than the more manageable half fold, any known reasoning for that?

Is that an electric 4x4 switch? The manual one on my 30-HST is a royal pain, and that would be a great improvement.

Other than that, from the pics the tractor is mighty nice looking and of course the driver looks perfect (HEY, everyone else is flirting with Ms. Tractor and justifiably so, considering us Kioti types are not that far removed from WOLVES!). :D You have nothing to worry about Rick as long as you have Ms. Tractors dog on guard duty though. ;) He looks pretty tough!

It's a setup just like the older DK45's.
The fender is "sandwiched" between the upper and lower halves of the rollbar.
No worries..

Regarding the auto PTO feature-------
I have the dk55c with the auto PTO function. I have been afraid to use it because the engagement ( at idle ) by manual function is so violent that it shears the bolts in the 6 foot shredder I got with the tractor ( both new ) . I was worried that if I was mowing and raised the unit, and lowered it it would REALLY tear something up as I would be traveling at above idle. Is this a concern, and is there a way to soften up the engagement of the electric pto. I retired the new 6 ft shredder to my dad's small 20 horse tractor and am using an older 6 ft servis with a slip coupler. I think it also jars things a bit on engagement, but it starts with no broken bolts. The one that came with the tractor sheared every bolt I used . Never got it to engage and cut.
I saw on the montana site that their electric pto engagement has an adjustment. Not sure what that means.
Will this soften with use or is it normal to behave like this. I have about 50 hrs on the machine.

P.S. - I am sure it was on 540 and not 1000 rpm's, if any one thought this might contribute.
thanks in advance
rick

If there is a adjustment I would be very interested. I personally do not like the auto pto selection. I never use it. I really don't see any use for it myself. The safety feature of shutting down the pto when you raise the 3 pt. arms is a great idea. The instant engagement when you lower the arms is my problem. Anything above idle is a very hard engagement. I was hoping Kioti changed the operation of it with the new model.

I agree this is a sweet machine i looked it over at the Sunbelt Expo in Moultrie Ga. I think this will be a good selling tractor due to the size and hp with an hst trans. also the one at the Expo was equiped with a loader and backhoe .Glad to see they are getting them out to the dealers because we have two of them on order. great pics!!!

Hey, Wallace, how about one SMALL photo (<150KB) for us poor
rural people with no browadband service? Kioti.com has nothing
yet.
