ignition failure?

Hi:
I have a l2900 and the ignitions keep failing I have gone thru the original and 2 replacements in the last year the repalcements have been universal switches and I am worried that if I spring for a factory part that what ever is wrong will ruin the new one. Can anyone tell me how I can check the wiring?

I was wondering what happens when the ignition switch fails? Does it click or just do nothing. I have a B2100 and had a similar problem. I thought the starter was going bad, but it turned out to also be an ignition problem. I was in a bind and used a little Redneck Engineering. Long story short I now have push button start. Maybe this can help!

Dash lights light, I turn the key and there is a very soft click I think it is from the ignition switch. thats it!

this issue plagued a lot of the 00 series kubota's (b2400 where terribly good at it). its all to do with how the safety switches and starter are wired. the power for the start solinoid is first feed from the ignition switch through the 3 safety switches and then to the starter solinoid. the problem is caused by the 3 safety switches and the starter switch all gradually restrict the current flowing to engage the starter, this gets worse as they age, current flow is eventually so low the starter wont engage.
the fix? either replace all the switches and it may fix the problem (maybe only for a short time though), or my personal favorite, wire a simple 12v relay into the system and use the original wire which activates the solenoid as the trigger to the relay.
