Gentlemen,
For some time now my Z Force 48 has had a loose fitting ignition key. Today the key wouldn't fit into the ignition slot at all, so I took the side panel off to remove the ignition switch.

Upon closer inspection, once I had the rubber cover over the ignition switch removed, I discovered the reason for the loose fitting key. The slot that the key fit in was full of dirt. A couple of minutes spent using a dental pick to remove the crud from the slot had the problem fixed. Now the key fully seats into the ignition slot.

If your key doesn't insert properly, it may be that a little spring cleaning will solve the problem for you as well.

and here I thought this was gonna be like the lucas electric switches on ford tractors.

anything from a flat nail to a jewlers screwdriver will turn those lock cylinders.. :)

I can start my 5000 ford, pull the key out, go start my 3000, pull the key out, go start my 4600, pull the key out and go start my 7610S that still holds the key in pretty good :)
