Ignition Key for Yanmar Tractor

Does anyone know of a good source for getting a spare ignition key made for my FX-26D? I live in a small town but have tried everywhere locally and they cannot match the key. The only key I have is a standard "Yanmar" key, but it must have some unique characteristic since no-one can provide a duplicate. Any ideas? Thanks. /forums/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

My keys are both a stock John Deere key, no cutting needed. Not sure what model its from, but if you have a Deere dealer nearby, i'd give it a shot.

I got mine from them.

There are 3 "standard" Yanmar keys, all Yanmar authorized parts dealers probably carry them.

HUH? I just checked my key on my yanmar and is a john deere key also. Does that mean a jd ignition might interchange?

The FX key is the same as a Branson key. Contact your local Branson dealer and you are good to go.

If there is a JD dealer close by, ask for the key for a 850. That is what I got for my F16D. Three keys for $5!
