Ignition

I have a farm pro 2420 and I replaced the ignition and it gets power to it now but it doesn't do anything when I turn the key. I can jump it from the slineod and the gauges and lights come on when you turn the key but it won't crank and doesn't make a noise at all when you turn the key. I have checked all the fuses and they are fine. I've also tried a new starter.

You need to learn how to trouble shoot.

Buy a digital multimeter and read this: Multimeter Tutorial

Then put the original ignition switch back in, find where the bad wire connection is or if the switch is bad.

I would start suspecting a safety switch is preventing the power from the key switch from reaching the starter solenoid.
Don't know your specific tractor but culprits are often pto lever, clutch pedal, shuttle shift lever, seat switch or if hydrostatic, pedal not in neutral position.
You need to try and get a wiring diagram. If you don't understand it, post it and I can make better comments.

p.s. found a wiring diagram for Jinma which is supposed to be the same. Only safety switch seems to be on clutch pedal. Try and find it. If you are careful to have transmission in neutral you could jump the switch and see if the starter engages. Defeating safety equipment carries risk so if you are not confident in your ability find someone with the skills to help you.
