IH 3414 Did it come with PTO?

I just bought a IH 3414. The PTO has a cover bolted over it. It looks factory. Did this model come with PTO? If not, can it be converted?

It probably did not come with a PTO. It is easy enough to add if you can find the parts.The parts should be fairly easy to get off of one of the farm "cousins" to the model. You could probably get a better answer f you asked on the Red Power forums. many knowlegable people over that way. They can tell you what you need.

Chances are you would need to start at the clutch for a drive and add the shafts thru the transmission and differential.

My 3414 has a pto which was obviously an add on from an ag tractor, as it was painted red instead of the typical IH industrial yellow. It is not a 'live' unit, however, as the 3414 has only a single stage clutch.
