Those Farmall Cubs are great little tractors, a little dangerous on hills. It looks to be about a 1950 model. If you were nearby I have a sickle bar mower and woods belly mower that I would let you have cheap.

I have a sickle mower for it that comes with it. Belly mower may interest me one day. Depending on what part of the foothills your in not that far really, I like driving and could be a trip. I have family and friends in a few spots in NC I could probably overnight at if I needed. I am not sure if I would ever use a belly mower though. I am getting so much with this thing I will need to play with and figure out.

Sickle mower may interest me as well as another source for non existent pieces as well though.

My zip is 28635. The belly mower is in really good shape, blades look like they have not been used much, and I have the small pulley for the sickle mower and the little handle that goes on the rod to hold the blade up. This came with a 73 model cub that the guy's grandpa bought new. it had a fast hitch and plow that I let go with it when I sold it, of course it is yellow and white.

I know it's pre I think the 63ish era cause it says Farmall. I would put it in the 50s I would guess. I will look up the serial number when I get it. I should of taken a pic of the plate.

If that is the original decal on the hood (looks to be), it's between September 12, 1949 to May 12, 1954

Looked up your zip. Your about as far away as you can get from me and still be in the foothills of NC. Haha. I will keep this offer in mind. I would definitely need to stop over at my uncle's on the way up if I ever decided to get them. That would be a heck of a day by the time I drove up there talked to you a bit and then hit the road.

Really good acquisition for you. My grandpa retired from farming when I was little and my dad had went to town to work so all of his tractors were sold. In later years I wish that I could have kept one or found where they went. Good for you to keep the memories and family connections alive. Will you restore it or keep it in it's patina?

My plan now is to keep it just how I remember it and how it is. I may clear it to save it how it is. But that would be a little in the future. This tractor will live in a shed the rest of its life.

Good for you and your tractor. I'm sure the real value of it will increase as your kids and grandkids get some rides and understand the connection to your grandpa.

Congratulations! It has to be special to have the tractor that belonged to your grandfather and be able to ride your own children on it. It’s come full circle.

I finially picked it up a few weekends ago. Need to go back for the attachments.

Got it running and changed all but the final drives fluids. I need to wait for the gasket material to come.

That doesn't look like a Yanmar! :D I had one of those for years with cultivators, turning plow, belly mower, disc and a home made front blade. Neat little tractors but changing implements is work.
