Cops are at the bottom of the legal system. Lawyers are at the top!!
I long for the good old days, a Cop told you to do something and you didn't he hit you with the stick! You ran, he shot you!

But at the same they are just trying to keep their jobs

As long as cops are human there will be some that are not worthy of the title. That is just the way humans are, but most are good men and women that we need to thank. They do a hard and dangerious job that protects us and this country. In some ways they are the vets that stayed home and served. Ed

I have worked all my professional life until retirement and afterward with Chemists, Biologists, Engineers of all kinds, Doctors, nurses and other medical professionals, career government administrators, Environmental professionals, lawyers and PhD's of all ilks. It has been my experience that lawyers are no worse than any one else. All of us have feet of clay, and some miss the mark...but I have known some individuals of great honesty and integrity, and not least among them were lawyers. There were a few sleeze bags, but they really don't compare to politicians.

Good point 2Lane, lawyers are in a unique ethical position in our culture. They have a duty to serve their client in an adversarial situation and not to weigh both sides. While they can't knowingly lie or mislead the court, they have no obligation to present all the information - there is another party that does that.

That doesn't mean we can't tell jokes about them though.

Yep, gotta love those female lawyers, except they are known to (sometimes) go for an anatomical part that they are some what personally unfamiliar with.
