I\'m Bummed

Thought I was going to take delivery of my 29D today. Sadly, the ATI Tach-All and bucket did not arrive as anticipated. Will probably be next Friday. Oh, well.

My dealer couldn't get my Kasco Uni-Hitch right away so he delivered the tractor with the standard bucket on it. I used the tractor like that for two or three weeks until my Uni-Hitch came in. When it finally came in I took the standard bucket off, loaded it in my truck, drove to the dealership and dropped it off while I picked up my new hitch and bucket.

I had that same type of problem on my TC21D. They just couldn't get the bucket period. I had ordered a 60" which was a mistake for that tractor but they finally ended up borrowing me a 36". Was smaller than my wheel base but it worked for moving dirt around.

Re: I\'m Bummed

I spoke with the fine folks at ATI on Friday and they assured me my stuff would be going out on a truck that day. So I don't think there will be an excessive delay.

As it turned out, I really didn't need the distraction of a new tractor this weekend as I spent the day celebrating my son's 12th birthday. He and a few of his friends took the dad's out to play paintball. It was a good father-son activity. Sadly, I took a direct hit to the forehead which left a red knot that I will be explaining to others for several days. At least my son didn't inflict this injury or I would never have heard the end of his "domination" of dad.

About 10 years ago I was eating some Captin' Crunch cereal. Inside the box was a prize that I think was called a "Popper". It was made out of rubber and shaped like a hollow ball cut in half. You were supposed to place it down on a table and press it down tight like a suction cup. After a few seconds it would release and pop up real high in the air. Even though I was in my mid twenties I licked it and stuck in right in the center of my forehead. I was just trying to make my new bride laugh at me. I kept it on for a few minutes and then I said to her "Hey this is starting to feel funny". I took it off and sure enough there was a huge red round hickey right in the middle of my forehead. I had to leave the very next day for an out of town business trip and there was nothing I could do about the red mark. It took well over a week for it to start to go away. So anyway, at least you have a good excuse for your red mark. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif Mine was harder to explain /forums/images/graemlins/blush.gif Oh by the way just a few days later my wife saw on the news that there was a recall on all the Captin' Crunch cereal with that prize in the box because I was not alone in doing what I did. I was probably the oldest one that did it but at least I wasn't the only one.

Re: I\'m Bummed

The fact that you could stomach Cap'n Crunch cereal at that age is more worrisome than sticking the popper to your forehead. Funny story.
