Sounds like you are beginning to learn about the "pucker" factor.
You got that right! My "pucker" came when both rear tires lifted off the ground while loading the fel going down a 30 degree slope. WOW! What a feeling!
Oh..by the way, I always block the rear of the backhoe, between the stabilizers, up about 8 inches off the ground when I take it off. Big help when re-mounting!

I dug up about 20' of my lawn the 1st time I attempted to hook up my fel.. :(

Wouldn't have been so bad if the neighbors weren't supervising.

I'm sure they thought "look at the idiot pushing that front end loader around the yard" ...

Gunmaker,

Can you explain a little further about where you put the 8" blocks? Do they go under the stabilizer feet, the center, or both?

I put them in the center, underneath and between the lowest hinge points of the stabilizers. There is a small flat area on the bottom of the backhoe, almost directly under controls. It is about 16" by 12" and I found that I can block up the bh there, and it is very stable. I do leave my stabilizers extended.
