Update: dealer service manager & technician came to my place today & located wiring harness that was incorrectly attached. Corrected mistake & now everything operates as it was designed. I thanked them & all is well.

I pointed out to the service manager early this AM that the 3 electrical functions that didn't operate when I picked up tractor Saturday right before closing were all coincidentally on the same wiring harness(key 4) so I thought that harness wasn't connected correctly. As it turned out I guessed correctly because I watched them relocate harness & reconnect it.:cool2::dance1::thumbsup:

Jim were connections mismatched? If so JD engineers should have "fool proofed" the harness by specifying different connectors, so none were the same.:thumbsup:

There was a post of JD110 backhoe, that IIRC, the 3pt hitch would not work after a split. It turned out the backhoe presence switch was connected to the backup alarm connector, so the "black box" thought a backhoe was attached and locked out the 3pt hitch. Two different style connectors would have fool proofed the wiring.


You did get great service and resolution to your problem. I'm sure you could have solved it yourself if you had the tech manual with the wiring diagrams. :drink:

I think tech that performed overhaul of my tractors engine routed the wiring harness in question around an air intake pipe incorrectly so wiring harness was too short for one set of connections to be attached. Saturday afternoon I saw a freshly disconnected connector but couldn't see where it was intended to be attached. Tech disconnected & rerouted wiring harness so the unattached connector on RH side could be connected. This section harness was hidden between air cleaner housing on top of engine valve cover & firewall out of my site. I was very happy when gauges started operating correctly.
