I always heard if you don't post pictures, it didn't really happen;)

 There's probably some truth to that, but I have this big plate of sliced peaches in front of me for breakfast that begs to differ.;) Gosh! Those peaches in your hat are gorgeous. I think the ones on the tree look even better. YUM!

I really should have taken a picture of the peaches I bought while they were still in the boxes, but I had to get them processed fast. I lost one day due to driving 130 miles to take peaches and veggies to my brother on Monday. Yesterday afternoon, I set aside for peeling and pitting peaches. My wife went to get her nails done and go grocery shopping. While she was gone, I peeled and halved that whole bushel of peaches. Last night, we sliced them, sprinkled on Fruit-Fresh and put them into freezer bags. We carefully squeezed out all the air in each bag. What a beautiful sight.:) Each bag holds just the right amount to make a pie or a few bowls for snacks. We've had good luck with freezing both fruit and veggies. Your preserves sure look pretty. I will try to take a picture of our freezer later today and post it. I do feel like I screwed up by not taking a picture of all those peaches right after we bought them.

I don't know what the genus name/etc. is, but I've had some white peaches (inside) that are really good too. Anyone here know what they are?

I don't know a name for them either, but I've eaten some that were delicious.

Wow! That looks like a future Peach King and Queen. Nice picture and beautiful kids.

I took a picture of my freezer with the frozen peaches. The two top baskets and one lower basket are almost full of peaches. Also, the fruit on the right of the peaches is wild blackberries. I see lots of good eating ahead this fall and winter.:licking:

We buy cubed mango in a big bag at Sam's Club. My wife puts frozen cubes in a bowl before dinner and they thaw quickly enough that we can eat them as a snack in a couple of hours. Sam's big bags of mixed fruit is also one of our favorites. My wife is allergic to strawberries, so she takes all of those and puts them in my bowl. She doesn't get sick and I get double strawberries.

I've got some Belle of Georgia that are white peaches. They ripen considerably later than my Red Havens, which are already gone for the year. We only got some under ripe Red Havens because the darn Blue Jays were pecking them all to pieces. I only have four trees, two each of Red Havens and Belle of Georgias, so I picked most of the Red Havens while they were still pretty firm, just so we'd get something before the birds did. We usually get more of the Belle of Georgias because they don't get as red as the Red Havens, and I guess they don't attract the bird's attention because of that. They are really good when ripe, like most peaches. If we got the whole yield off just our four young trees, we'd be in peach heaven, too, and have a freezer full. In previous years the coons got them, so I went on a coon trapping spree. This year, no coon damage, but the birds pecked a major part of them.
