I just seen this post.I had a 1996 ingersoll 4020 with a 20hp onan that I bought new and traded it for a Zero turn mower because we bought more property.I found myself missing the ingersoll so last year I found one on the local craigs list.It was 1996 4020(power steering)20hp onan(500 hours)3 pt with sleeve hitch, tire chains and front snow plow for $3,100 which I thought was a pretty good deal.My suggestion if you buy a ingy get the power steering my first one did not have it and this one did, cats meow INHO.coobie.

Good luck Corvair Guy and Happy New Year! I would agree with the detailed previous responses. The past 35 years on my 3 acres, I've gotten a lot of work out of the four kids and the hunting dog. Starting out with just hand tools and push mowers was easy then. Finally, after several years I bought the Case 448(1983) with a 48" MMM and front plow. I only wish I knew then what I know now about how good a machine it is. You might consider getting the front plow instead of a snow blower. With 100 lbs wheel weights and chains it pushes snow real good. I still till a 50 x 100 main garden with a 35 year old Sears 8 HP tiller. It has a zillion miles on it and I'm up to a zillion 78 years of work myself. As others have mentioned, the maintenance and parts for an older Case can be problematic. I do most of that myself (as DIY). But for you to mow 10-20 acres, I'd say get a CUT like a Kubota "B" series. Again, as to cost, if you can buy a decent used CUT with a FEL and mower, go for it. Such a machine will be more versatile in use and availablity of attachments, service, parts etc. (I'm not up on Case newer models/dealers).
And lastly, consider how you need to get right to work on the jobs at hand versus spending your time working on an older machine, trying to keep it going. My Case is still going strong, but I have put a lot of time and money into it. Yet, I bought a brand new Kubota BX2660 last year and it is great....and I don't have to work on it!!!!!Yes!!!!
