Does anyone know where I can buy a carry all that is compatible with the Imatch? I bought the one at TSC but the top link misses by about 4 inches.

I think Kenny has if right. I have looked around but found no "carry all" that is "I-Match" compatible, as is.

If you do find one, please post. Thanks.

Better Yet: Return the I-match and get one of the quick hitches with an adjustable top link like Speeco at Northern.

That's not 'better yet' IMO. The 'quick' part of a 'quick tach' is not having to have to get off and adjust something to 'quick' tach. Again, IMO. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

If I have to get off the tractor, I just as well save the $200 and go back to hooking up the 3pt to the attachments. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Which is precisely what I am doing now, to my disappointment.

I am having a difficult time making my iMatch work with even JD "iMatch Ready" implements, much less anything else. JD is not shipping bushings until sometime next week, so while they will deliver you an iMatch so you can quickly change from one implement to another, you'll only be able to hook up one implement with the bushing set that comes with your hitch. I was steamed about that, but then it got worse...

The Frontier Box Blade (BB2060) that claims to be "iMatch" doesn't use the same bushings as the rest of the implements. Which wouldn't be so bad if any salesman or parts department knew that and if the Frontier and JD parts books were cross-referenced. After spending close to an hour with the parts desk and my salesman, I found it in the BB Owner's Manual (pity none of them thought to look there).

Now all I have to do is find some 1-1/4 inch round bar stock and spend half a day remodeling my new sprayer and my soon to be new carry all.

Just checked. You have to lower the mount point three inches (center to center) from the normal top link position and the iMatch top link diameter is 1.25"

Having used it to mount my MX-5, I am sure that I will like the iMatch when I get everything compatible. But, that is looking like a bigger chore than I expected or was led to believe.

Yep! It sometimes is not as easy as picking up a loaf of bread off the shelf at the grocery store. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Leaves too much work to do to get the final product, but then I guess I enjoy the challenge to figure some of it out, and that may be the difference. I also like the old attachments after I modified them to work with the iMatch. Those bushings are a very confusing thing. Takes a set for each attachment too. I bought some from TSC.

I've been in the parts dept. helping behind the counter and in the stocked shelves. I sometimes wonder with the gazillion parts how the parts guys stay sane. But, its also interesting to hear some of the stories they tell on the customers who think they are or should be geniuses.
It takes us all to make the world go round.

You will like the iMatch when you get it all set up and raring to go. Hope it doesn't frustrate you too much though. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I use the iMatch on the MX5 and a Frontier tiller. I have to make adjustments to the top link when I go from one to the other. What has really helped is a dedicated parking spot for each implement fine tuned for picking it up with the iMatch. I found the tiller needed to be 8 inches off the ground for a easy connection. The iMatch does put a bit more metal between me and the PTO when I am trying to attach the shaft if I was smaller it would be less of a problem:0

It would be easier to get into the development process if I didn't have so much to get done.

FYI - Some points a newbie (me) has found about quick hitches and my King Kutter carry-all:

1. Bought a quick hitch (Speeco) to avoid farm-type accidents from getting pinched by an idling tractor and an attachment. IMO a quick hitch is speed and convenience most of the time, but safety was my main concern. I can't drive a manual tranny JD790 with mashed legs.

2. Too many attachments don'e comply with the standard set for quick hitch use. Smaller brand names are worse than big name mfrs.

3. Put the supplied bushings on my attachment that won't get borrowed by friends and neighbors who don't have one. The others get slip-on bushings installed. They can be removed if a neighbor needs to borrow it.

4. Carry-all is too light to enable easy hook-up from the tractor seat anyway. Just drop the lift arms, open the jaws and set it in the hooks. I still achieve the safety factor since I don't need the tractor idling while I jockey with the lower lift arm height with any attachment. I use the supplied (Speeco) adapter clevis to hook up to my carry-all on the top link. The top jaw is adjustable, but it really gets inconvenient if I have to go to the toolbox for wrenches. The clevis stays on the quick hitch and out of the way with a cool color-matched yellow bungee cord from Orscheln when not in use.

5. Drop attachments on LEVEL GROUND. Can't say that enough after doing it wrong the first few times. Felt stupid after I did it the third time. Duh.

6. Quick hitches are not quick every time. Just much safer when you can grab the bottom pins without being between two heavy sharp objects when I am much softer than they are.

7. I live (central MO) where just below the surface the dirt turns to "plastic clay" that works up more like cheap concrete. Subsequently, my prized possession is a post hole digger. No one makes a quick attach post hole digger.

I still have to get off the tractor to hook up attachments even with a quick hitch since two of my neighbors also have JD790 tractors without quick hitches. Climbing on and off to install or remove my bushings is still a pleasure since I don't risk losing my ability to climb period.

Enjoy the quick hitch and the carry-all. They still are a good investment even if not always as fast as 1,2,3.
