I searched the boards and couldn't find this issue addressed but I apologize if it has been answered somewhere else and I missed it...

I have the Imatch on my 4310. The top link/hook is 3.25" too low for my Bearcat chipper. If anyone has addressed a similar situation and fabricated some type of adapter, I would appreciate knowing how you did it.

I could load the chipper up and take it to my local machine shop but if I can purchase or fabricate something independently, I would prefer that.

Thanks in advance for any ideas.

I think you are on the right track, but I don't know of anything available. I had my attachments modified by the local welder, but felt that a short length of three sided 3" channel, with a pin across could be bolted or welded onto the attachment to make a quick top pin that would work. Usually the lower pins are about right, but the upper one varies in height like your chipper.
Hope someone has some good ideas. I like to fix the attachment, rather than the adjustable quick hitch top hook, which means one is changing it between attachments. Just lazy on my part, I guess.

Why JD did not make the top link adjustable on the I-match is something I do not understand. As a result I bought the Quik-Hitch made by Speeco from Northern Tool. Now you just have to modify to fit.
