I receive my new 3320 this morning and was wondering about something the dealer told me. I was talking to him about the iMatch option and he told me that only JD implements will work with the iMatch system.

Is this true?

I'm thinking it would make things a little easier and it would allow my son to help out a little without having me around but I don't want to be stuck to only buying JD implements.

The iMatch system is based on a standard so it's not true that ONLY JD implements will work, but apparently very few manufacturers use the standard since it's different than what they've been doing for decades now. Speeco and LandPride have similar systems that work with iMatch compatible implements but have an adjustable toplink position that boost the compatibility with other implements. I've got a troublesome chipper that I don't think will work with any of these, but I can recommend Pat's EZ Change system. It provides quick-hitch hooks for the two side arms but you still need to hook up the toplink manually. Since most of the time I'm using PTO-powered implements I'll need to get off the tractor anyway and the side links are the tough part so Pat's is a big timesaver for me.

Depends upon how good you are with metal fabrication, and how handy you are with a welder. I have the Imatch on my 3320 and have had to modify nearly every implement (old ones) that I own. The Land Pride or Speeco may have negated several of the mods because of the adjustable top link.

For me, making the implement fit usually isn't that difficult, and it's a one time modification.

As the other guys mentioned imatch works with Frontier stuff but other stuff needs to be adapted. Just as a heads up TSC has a hitch that looks JD's imatch only is painted black for about $75

I'm a pretty handy guy but don't have a welder. From several post I have read here at TBN looks like that might be something I should look into.

Thanks for the heads up on the cheaper version of the iMatch plus the other people that have something that would also work.

My goal is to make it simple enough to change out implements that my wife and son can help out if I'm not around. The enjoy doing the work but just can't get things moved around to hook up without me.

Thanks again.
