Implement lights connected to MF GC1705

The one thing I think would be great to do is add the ability to use electric trailer brakes.

Another option for the plug is to use something like an electric sprayer and in that case a 7 wire RV plug would be a good choice.

Not a big fan of Scotchlocs either, but they do work.... Yes I'm old school strip, solder, tape...

Correction. It’s “SMART school”, not “old school”.

Not bad idea..The 7 pin.... Gives you option to have 12 V dc power to rear (easy connect), and the lights, and yes the possibility of trailer brakes....

It really depends on how far one wants to go with this....

For my DC power I chose to ignore the builtin (controlled by ign switch) for a switch on dash and two pole plug/socket.... So I can run sprayer or what ever with engine off (all electrical systems not powered up) ....

The trailer already has a flat connector so I will be going with that. I figured the only option was to connect into the backlights somewhere. Thanks for all of the replies. :)

Seem to remember reading that Massey has a pigtail on the left rear already in place. Might do some looking.

I am going out to try my new Piranha bar for the first time this afternoon so when I get out to my property I will take a look at mine although I did not see anything when I moved my lights to the inside of the ROPs I was not looking for a trailer connection at that time.

Prob not an actual trailer connector, just a plug for extending to a trailer plug, if that makes sense.

Not the same tractor, 1742 has this. Didn’t check with a test light, but seems logical DBD1FFF2-E453-447F-A0A3-D0D1B820CFCC.jpeg

IT does, but its a single 12v supply for accessory power and it is controlled by key switch.... There is no pigtail for "trailer" lights...
