I knew an old man that used a pair of vice grips for a steering wheel on an old station wagon...no lie...!

I used two pair of vice grips on an old jd rake,, then welded them on,, to keep the kids from taken them.. they were still on there six years later when I sold it.. Lou

Some things can't wait and most if not all of us have had to make do with what we have on hand...in a pinch...

Anyone else ever used a hose clamp to hold a starter cable on a battery?...how about socket for a bushing when the only bolt available was too long?

I've seen a number of sites lately that feature redneck or "white trash" repairs. Weird thing is that I just don't remember ever seeing anybody taking some of these pictures that were obviously taken around my place. (?!)
