There you go YLee Kioti. Now you got all your info and can solve his problem.
Am I reading this wrong, or is your Jetta approaching 480K miles? My car came with Michelins. I am on my sixth set of Michelins on this car. Can't get much more than 80,000 miles out of them before I have to replace them. Usually wearbars are getting close to showing but the rain handling is dicey even without the wearbars showing. 2003 Jetta wagon. I run 34 psi when the max pressure is 44. Recommended pressure on the fuel door says 28 psi. I use a Milton pencil gauge. Wear across the tread is even. I rotate the tires sometimes. I have gone 30-40,000 miles between rotations. Fair bit of highway driving generally about 63-65 mph in Atlanta. Little hot rodding as it is a diesel so the accelerating even with bigger injectors is not amazing. I have had 3 alignments. I have replaced worn suspension bushings once. It is due for some fresh bushings now. I buy the fuel mileage rated tires which also have a decent tread wear rating.
My pickup truck is eating its tires. Firestones of some sort. They have 40,000 miles on them. Maybe another 20,000 miles I would guess. Even wear across the tread.
I bought a new GMC dually in 02 and had Goodyear AT wranglers Load range E on it. They lasted 60k and I was impressed. Then I ordered the same exact kind again and the miles dropped to 40k. Still undaunted, with much difficulty I ordered the same exact kind again although mucho expensive and I think they lasted 35k. This time I ordered Firestone AT and will see if they are any better. I don't know if the tire compound cheapened or not but miles per set got worse.
I don't buy michelons anymore because they have weak sidewalls...
On my 4wd's, if there's a rock in a mud hole that hit's the sidewall very hard, well that tire WILL blow out sooner of later where it got hit...
A friend of mine, his wife hit a curb pretty hard while parking her car... Both of the tires on that side blew out and warr. didn't cover that... and I've never got them to cover the two of my truck tires that blew out either!
I just won't buy them again!
