/forums/images/graemlins/smile.gifHi Guys,

Well I must say I now have a number of options open to me.Thank you all very much!
Your a funny bunch a guys!!/??...
One suggestion was to tell my wife to do it,(leaves). Ha.
another, Tell wife no-more Honey-do lists.., ha.,
another , use a Chain Saw & then pull stump w/ Back-hoe, ha,ha,ha......Would'nt Honey like that!
The largest & most productive leaf dropper is in front of the house & is really a Beautiful Tree. It must be well over a 100 yrs. old. It's a Hugh Sugar Maple with very odd limbs etc. A really beautiful tree....chain saw huh?
Well fellas, I guess the mulching idea, over & over & over is still a good one, I will admit but I have already taken off the mower deck & I'm diggin out back like a fool!, Bout normal for me. (fool part) anyway.
I also kinda liked the Parker Lawn Sweeper idea but I can't seem to find much about it, price wise, etc.
I do want to thank all who cared enough about a fellow - Tractor Guy to help him out!
I guess I'll have to use my little push mower this year & gear up for next year....
By the way I planted 5 more trees yesterday....But these are all Evergreens.ha.ha.ha.

Honey's still happy........ Paul /forums/images/graemlins/laugh.gif

Hey Guys,

By the way this machine is one of those that all the attachments come off, easily?
The rear end has a PTO & 3 pt. hitch also so, if you have any more ideas along those lines-please let me know.
I'm still wide open to all ideas.
Thank's again , Paul /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Paul,

Unless you can borrow back your old Craftsman or switch back to the mower on the BX, for at least this year... sounds like you should hire the neighbor kids to do it.

I see several ideas when the leaves are dry. Best is to use a mower and chop them up - I perfer a riding mower...
Next is a leaf blower, also used to blow dust and other thing away from walls, sidewalks, ect.
Last good idea, wait till they are dry, clear a space between them and any thing you want to keep- strike a match.
And the best of the best - dig a hole, rake them in in layers with dirt and by spring you'll have some nice soft dirt ready for the garden. Invest in the future /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The link does not work.
Here is a link that has Parker Sweepers.
I have a Parker Sweeper that I used behind my lawn tractor that I no longer have.
It looks kind of funny behind my 30 HP CUT. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Thank's Gentlemen.......

I appreciate alll the help & the pictures were neat!
I'm also glad to see the website for the Parker Sweeper's. I think that may very well be the route I'll go.....It looks like it will help all around - picking up grass that got cut after it was longer than usual due to rain etc. Also it looks like it may pick up all kind's of crud maybe some thatch buildup & helps by standing the grass up prior to mowing so the Parker people say. And, it should pick up leaves?... Of course I'll Mulch them prior to sweeping!!! I have kept compost piles for years now & appreciate all those references to them.
You guys are wizza. Thanks again, Paul /forums/images/graemlins/smile.gif

Any tips on how best to use a Parker??? /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif
