Power Trac 1845 and 425
Power Trac mentions that the PT425 is made from 3/16” to 3/8” steel plate. Anyone know what gauge this would be? In other words, is there an approximate conversion from inches to gauge?

I got my old Machinist’s handbook out to check on this. The thickest plate and sheet steel is 0000000 (7/0) which is .490”. These numbers are for US standard for plate. Check out this site for list of all plate and wire gage sizes.

I would measure it as thicker than anything else out there.

Roger that! You'll know how thick it is by the lump on your shin when you bump into it /w3tcompact/icons/laugh.gif .
