Inching control: anyone have it?

Implements that need "PTO", are hydraulic in nature, NOT mechanical PTO driven. So you hook up the hydraulic hoses instead of a PTO coupler. You need about 25GPM to operate most of them.

I have a pto driven boom mower. Use to fight pto shaft hookup due to tight space. Pump went so replaced that pump and pto shaft with pump that mounted direct onto tractor pto shaft. It has at least 1 inch hoses for the capacity needed and frankly the pto shaft was easier to connect than the weight of the pump and the two hoses. Now if there were quick connect fittings that were easy to connect might be a good move. There may be those fittings that size, the above post was what got me to thinking on this. One of the best things you can do help with pto hookup is to keep the shafts cleaned and lubed.

thanks, I have so much lube on mine I usually get slimed nicely putting it on. It's that squeeze one way push the other part of the collar that does me in. I make sure the shaft is as level as I can get it, but sometimes it really has a mind of its own. I like the older push button style the best, have less problems with them.

Have appt with JD dealer next week. Saw the Massey dealer this morning about a 4708. He looked at me like I was somewhat nuts when I described that inching feature. :D
