Increasing curb appeal???

My tractor sits out in the yard. It has for 20 years. A little Meguirs number 9 swirl remover to polish the faded paint followed by some wax and it looks showroom new. I would rather have faded paint I can clean up that a poor attempt at touchup paint.

If you really want to use "rattle cans" you CAN do a reasonably good job, IF you want to spend the time.
Take both wheels off.
Clean and lightly scuff.
Wipe very lightly with lacquer thinner
CAREFULLY tape off one side of each wheel, and use (probably 2) "rattle cans".
Let dry for a day.
Flip wheels over.
Clean and lightly scuff.
Wipe very lightly with lacquer thinner.
CAREFULLY tape off.
Use 2 more "rattle cans".
Let dry for a 2nd day, or more.
Re-mount wheels.

I'm still of the mind, that if the tractor is in basically good shape, a little touch up here and there just adds to the curb appeal. I personally, think rims always look better, reasonably well painted. Even owners manuals tell you to touch up areas where the paint has worn off. But other large areas look better cleaned, compounded and waxed then any spray can job.

Thanks for the thoughts guys. The rims look good just faded some not the bright yellow it once was. The hood and fenders look great. I washed it up for the first time in the 10 yrs I've owned it due to no running water where it was housed. Guess the layer of dirt from bush hoggin' protected the paint job ha!

Sounds like a detailed wash and wax would be the best way to go. I like the Meguiars cleaner glaze products very well. I would probably skip the spray paint.

IAgree with most, dont paint. You'd be surprised at the color and shine that some of the new products will restore. Alot already mentioned.
