Incubator problem - NONE of our 2nd batch of guine eggs are hatching!

Why not just leave the eggs under the female? Save yourself the work.

I have used a genesis incubator with an automatic turner with great success. I know that for chickens the humidity needs to change for the last five days or so, been a whole since we have hatched any out. You could try BackYardChickens.com. They are a good resource.

Guinea's take about 28 day's to hatch. at 100 degree's and 58- 60% humidity. When they incubate the small end of the egg needs to point down, the eggs should be turned about 4 times a day. Cease Turning on day 25 and raise the humidity to about 65% and let them hatch.
I recently sold my flock of Guinea's but I like hatching them cause there so easy. One night I checked and had 3 hatched out, the next day I went to look at them and all of them except 1 that never hatched were all out and lively and running around.

the funny thing is to see a silky setting on a clutch of turkey eggs.. now that's darn funny!

She will not sit. Guineas are terrible brooders... Incubator was my only option.

My incubator is low tech, and they lay on their sides. I rolled the eggs daily.

They went in at 8pm on 5/14 according to the log book, and they started cracking & peeping tonight on 6/14 (31 days incubation :confused2.

So far one has hatched with help (does not look like it will make it) and one is peeping now and might pop out sometime tonight.

A couple other eggs have small cracks, I'm hoping and praying some of them make it.

So far I onlyhave 4 eggs for the next batch. I'm going to be buying day old keets it seems...

been many moons since I hatched out my last turkey.

I just have a few toms left. Last femail died a lil while back she was getting old.. all her offspring were toms the last few years.. before her I had 2 other good breeders.. but seems they too started throwing toms at the end.. and smaller clutches. 3 eggs vs 8.. and 1 -2 clutches a year vs 3+

one way I knew when their time was coming.. their laying habbits.. unfortunately.

Just a couple thoughts
31 days is telling you your temp was to low or not steady,probably have the wafer type thermostat, electronic would hold a more constant temp.

When I left for work (late) this morning, I had 6 hatchlings, 2 very fresh, and at least 2 or 3 who looked pretty healthy.

When I got home it seems all 6 are very defective and I'm not sure any will live more than a couple days/weeks...

This is depressing...
