Mink are especially worrisome as they appear to transmit it between each other and to humans. Denmark was considering banning mink farming.

I THINK Denmark did ban mink farms. The NL banned mink farms prior to the pandemic but the farms had a few years to close down. Then the mink were catching WuFlu so the NL went in and killed all of the mink. They buried the gazillions of dead minks but then animals were digging up the dead mink and getting sick. I never did see what they were going to do with the buried, dead mink but they were talking of digging them up and I guess burning the carcasses. NOT a job I would want.

Goodness. Is it just mink that are vastly impacted or other animals as well?

Mink mostly. SARS-CoV2 has been found in other species, but the fact mink seem able to transmit it to humans got everyone's attention.

FWIW: the Delta strain appears to be 3x more infectious than the original strain. With the original strain an infected person might infect 2-3 people, with Delta it is more like 8-9. If you care about those around you, I would recommend getting vaccinated. It is not going to get better.
