I will try and explain this as best I can but I know I will leave stuff out. I have attached a diagram of part of my barn which will have radiant heat in the floor and will be an indoor dog kennel. The part of the barn I am doing the concrete in is 28 X 90. It will
have a cement block wall running down the center. The areas in grey will be the kennel and along the wall is a sidewalk. For a full diagram of building please refer to the following web page.
http://207.234.238.110/kenlayout.html This shows the whole building
So another words in the center of the building which is 28X90 will be dog runs 4 X 10 back to back in the center from the one wall till about 40 feet then a walk way then 40 feet with a cement block wall with runs back to back. There us a 3 foot side walk on either side to get to the kennel doors. There will be a channel on each side of the block all that pitches toward the center of the building. Also the concrete will pitch from the outside wall of the building toward the center.
What I am attempting to do is be able to clean the runs from the outside and just walk and push the water throughout the building with a power washer to the final drain going to a dry well. I really do not want pipes installed under the concrete. If I have a hair clog this way I can get to it. Except the pipe going to the drywell which I think I might as big a pipe as I can afford.
IT would really be nice to have something in there that would act like a cutter. That we could lay it in and then just cover the cutters in the center walk way. I have taken pictures of the inside of the barn and will post them tonight. We will do the concrete in two pours we will divide the building up by 28 X 45 each to make it easier to do this.
My plan is get to everything ready to pour then do the rest of the outside work and lay some shale so cement trucks can get to the kennel. We will just take the panels off of the barn to get access to floor. I wish to finish the outside site work before we pour concrete as I am afraid that the vibration of big dozers will crack the concrete. Besides the cement trucks may get stuck if we don’t have a shale base to come in on.
Before anybody comments let me post pictures tonight. So you have a good idea of what I am talking about. Before I have any concrete poured I was curious if there was some kind of product they lay down to make
