Info for MF 205-4

Hey folks, I just purchased a mf 205-4 a few months ago. I can't find any info about them on the net. It is a rather small tractor with quick detach frontend loader on it. I suspect from its looks that it was actually built by iseki or some other japanese manufacturer. If so I would like to know the japanese equivalent.

I like the little tractor alot but I find myself in need of some parts now because of a few doctored up things from the fella I bought it from /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif. I've ordered a few through my local dealer but whew!! you talkin about high.

I would still like to find something on the net about them just to learn a little more about it or maybe even find some cheaper parts. Can anybody point me in the right direction?

HAMMERJAMMER, The Massey 205-4 was built by Hinomoto and here is some info on a search on this site also owners manual can be found or parts here or perhaps shop manual could be of some use ,but as far as first hand knowledge or experience I have none on this model,perhaps someone else on this site could be of more assistance?? /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gif

Hey thanks for the info nasty135. /forums/images/graemlins/cool.gifIt's good to at least know that it was made by hinomoto. Now maybe I can refine my search a little and find some info on the hinomoto that will help me with this tractor.

It's sort of frustrating though. /forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif I bought a massey so that I would have a dependable dealer close by. For parts availability. I was thinking of even getting one of the chinese tractors but didn't because of the headache of getting parts for them. I thought I couldn't go wrong with the massey. Because it is an 89 model I thought parts wouldn't be a problem. When I went to the massey dealer they wanted my serial number because there were two different types of the parts I needed and one was discontinued. Luckily I had the one they could get But it has gotten me a little scared now and I'm trying to get all the info I can in case I need it.

I used to have a MF 210-4 and found the best thing you can do is go down to the grey market forum here, and post what you are looking for. There are direct cross references for japanes model tractors, and some used parts are available. The model number now escapes me, but I was able to find everything one could need for my 210. Len Shafer would be a great resource, he often posts down there on the grey market forum.
